We ask for a booking/security deposit of £75 to confirm your reservation. Full payment should then be made within 4 weeks of your stay, The original £75 booking deposit is then held over as a damage deposit which is returned to your account within 7 days of departure. (example: £800 rate for your week, pay £75 deposit on booking and then £800 within 4 weeks of stay, £75 is returned after your departure)
Cancellations made up to 6 weeks prior to start date: £75 cancellation charge
Cancellations within 4-6 weeks prior to start date: 50% of rental
Cancellations within 2-4 weeks prior to start date: 75% of rental
Cancellations less than 1 week prior to start date: 95% of rental
We regret that charges have to be made for cancellations, as these are usually only made for unavoidable reasons, however we hope you understand that on accepting your booking the cottage becomes unavailable to others. We do not currently offer cancellation insurance, however this can purchased onlice or from brokers and there are companies that do offer COVID cancellation insurance.
If you do need to cancel, we will try to re-book your week and if successful will refund the cost of your holiday (excluding £75 deposit) less any discount needed to secure an alternative booking at short notice.
If your holiday has to be cancelled due to government introducing a nationwide or regional ban on travel or self-catering accomodation, we will refund in full including deposit.
If you cancel your holiday for any discretionary reason (i.e your choice) or as a result of illness (including COVID) or the need to self isolate, our normal cancellation policy will apply.
